Year 1

Mrs Bailey & Mrs Armstrong

Welcome to year 1 ...

We will encourage and support your children's learning.  We are proud of your children's enthusiastic, hard working and caring attitude.

We support learning in Year 1,  and encourage the children to be the best that they can be all of the time.

The amazing children in Year 1 continue to impress the adults daily with their fantastic work and how they think carefully about making the right 'Choices'.  We aim for children to realise there full potential during their time in Year 1.

It is our aim in Year 1 for children to know common exception words on site. These words are:

once     our     ask     me     a     be     do     to     my     his     she     no     I     love     of     was     today

house     so     your     has     by     there     come     we     one     the     said     says     were     put

school     full     pull     his     is     are     where     he     go     some     here     friend     you     push

Children in Year 1 throughout the country will all be taking part in a phonics screening check the week commencing 8th June 2020.  Children in Year 2 will also take the check if they did not achieve the required result when in Year 1 or have not taken the test before.
